An utterly transcendent dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was abundantly clear that this was not merely a restaurant, but a temple to the noble art of beef. The atmosphere was effortlessly sophisticated, the service bordering on telepathic, and every detail had been curated with the sort of obsessive precision one expects from Japan at its finest.
And then, of course, there was the steak.
Was it outrageously expensive? Absolutely. Was it financially irresponsible? Almost certainly. Did I question several of my life choices when the bill arrived? Briefly.
Was it worth it?
Obviously.
The beef was nothing short of sublime — impossibly tender, delicately marbled and cooked with such precision that it felt almost disrespectful to describe it as simply "steak". Every bite was an exercise in restraint, balance and sheer culinary arrogance.
The staff deserve particular praise. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and seemingly capable of detecting an empty glass from three rooms away. Their reverence for the ingredients was palpable, and frankly, by the end of the meal I was ready to sign over my savings account to them.
Yes, you pay a premium. A considerable one. But sometimes you have to accept that excellence comes at a price.
And this place has excellence in abundance.
Five stars. Five more if I could afford them.
