The food was good, but unfortunately the service ruined the experience. One of the employees (a balding man) suddenly popped his head out from behind the curtain and asked where we were from. After we answered, he immediately went to the back, said something to his coworkers, and they all laughed. I can’t say exactly what was said because I don’t speak Japanese, but the timing made it feel like they were laughing about us, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The chef cooking the steak was kind, but the rest of the experience left a bad impression. We were hoping to enjoy a nice dinner on our last night, but instead we left feeling unwelcome. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t return.
