We came for Kobe beef teppanyaki but were told there weren’t enough seats, so we were redirected upstairs to have other options on the menu instead. The first level was full of tourists, while the second level looks deserted and only had two tables were open. After looking at the menu, we ordered the standard sukiyaki set. The appetizers and drinks arrived, but shortly after we started eating and drinking, the staff informed us that the standard meat was unavailable. The only option left was the premium meat, priced at 80,000 yen and above (at least x2 the price of the standard menu). Not sure if it was a coincidence that the standard meat wasn’t available, but it felt suspicious and like a bait-and-switch tactic. The lack of transparency and proper communication left a terrible impression and the rest of the options were overpriced, so we decided to leave once we were done with our soft drink (which we ALSO had to pay for).. Please avoid.
