Excellent portions, atmosphere, and service. The food was the best in its class for every category - from rice to veggies to meat. After days of eating wagyu meat in Japan, I was still not prepared for how good Kobe would be. But despite the food quality, the standout for the night was our chef Gurung. He was personable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable despite us being drunk Americans at a fancy restaurant. He had great conversations on individual levels with all 8 of us at the restaurants. If you come to this restaurant and don’t ask for Gurung, you’re missing out.
