I couldn’t bring myself to tell the young man that served us, but the food prepared was just not that great. It wasn’t him individually, and the service was very pleasant, but the food here is GROSSLY OVERPRICED. The most basic meal for 2 came out to roughly 45,000 yen. We knew going in that we were going to pay a steep price for Kobe beef, but frankly it wasn’t worth it. We had Wagyu A5 in Kyoto (just 4 days before) and in other parts of the world that was half the price and much more delicious. We saw the ratings on google (only Sixteen 5 stars at the time of writing) and felt concerned about the low number of ratings, but we rolled the dice. Oh well, craps. Some other points to note: - If paying $300 USD+ for a meal, I should get something better than wooden chopsticks and splinters. - The menu is very limited, and the garlic rice was the only thing that saved us from leaving hungry - It was completely empty for a 9pm reservation on a Friday, which should have been a red flag. I’m guessing this place won’t last. If you want to treat yourself to some Kobe beef, I’d suggest another place. You’ll probably pay just as much as you would here but have a better, more refined experience. To be fair, the $ wasn’t an issue, as we’ve spent $500 - 1000 or more before on a exquisite meal for 2, but that’s not what you're getting here. Just some beef gently cooked on a hot surface. Nothing special. Pass on this one.
