I came in with my aunt visiting from new zealand and the staffs kin and koki probably didnt know I spoke Japanese and is Japanese and overheard them talking to each other commenting on “how i look like a chinese spy” “hes giving me a spy look” when we came in. Then telling him to persuade us to buy the most expensive beef but when we picked another one they were like “well… that can’t be helped” I thought it was rude to call a guest “a spy”. And when we checked out, my aunt was asking for a receipt and asking my the bill went thousands above expected and kin would reply in a loud voice saying “its service charge” like my aunt was deaf. It’s best to double check your bills when going to tourist trap locations like this. Food was okay, beef was kobe beef but it was kinda hard. Definitely a place you can go for jaw exercises.
