There are two places with this name so be careful which one you go to. This location (by Ueno exit) where I went yesterday around dinner time was definitely promoting themselves with a Google Review Sign. I’ve since learned that locals use a different review platform and rate this place much lower. That said, the “chef” came out, he was not Japanese, and he didn’t cook anything, and it wasn’t in front of me like the other place with this same name. Furthermore, he told me he is a better cook because he’s from his country (which I won’t name) which I thought very odd, among other topics of conversation he brought up, including his “use” of the Japanese social services. The food was ok, but I don’t really have a baseline except that it made me a little sick, lost a few pounds last night. For a $300 per person meal I expected something very special but this was not. I probably shouldn’t be surprised as it was completely empty.
