Off the bat - the food tastes good, service is very friendly, and the vibe is very fun. Making the origami animals to put on the wall afterwards was a highlight.
That said - the meal itself just wasn’t good enough for the cost. Everything but the meat felt like an after thought, especially with the dessert course being a plain scoop of ice cream from a plastic tub.
And even though the meat was the focus, it also didn’t justify the cost. The input (the sirloin, in our case) was high quality with great marbling, but I’ve had better bites from lower grade cuts.
I would say this would be a great restaurant if it cost 1/3 to 1/2 as much. For the cost, there are better options.
