Beautiful food and really interesting. The food is cooked in front of you by the chef, which is really part of the experience. We ordered one of the middling priced dishes (sirloin cut), which was 17000 yen each before any drinks or anything else. It was the best tasting food I have ever had (if you’ve ever wondered what it means for meat to melt in your mouth, this is it) but it is priced accordingly. Keep that in mind! Our chef Toshi was very kind - we mainly spoke in broken Japanese which was fun for us as we are new learners, but this is what we wanted out of our trip anyway. His friendliness and willingness to explain the food and have a good chat will be one of our favourite memories of the trip - let alone the amazing job he did with the food! So in short, this is some of the best food you can eat, and it warrants the 5 star rating - but do be prepared to spend upwards of 20000 yen per person. あるがとうございまとしさん！
