We arrived at this restaurant on the back of the good reviews but the place felt off to us and we left before ordering. The prices for the 220g steaks were truly astronomical ranging from 36000 yen to 88000($225 to $551) . This was just for steak never mind sides, starters etc. For this price I would expect one of the world’s greatest steaks - even then it’s ridiculously expensive. Yet they had someone out at the front trying to entice people into the restaurant, no high end restaurant would do this? Whether this is a scam I don’t know but certainly a tourist trap. If you don’t mind remortgaging I would imagine the steaks are nice though!
