Classic tourist trap - I recommend avoiding this restaurant. The food is not very good - I’ve eaten a lot of A5 in my life and this did not have any of the qualities I’ve experienced previously. That said, it may have been the most expensive steak I’ve ever ordered in my life. The prices are almost silly. I should have walked away when I saw the price, but I was in the mood for a great steak and the reviews seemed wildly positive. I was also conscious of not being rude - I’ve been to Japan dozens of times and have enjoyed hundreds of wonderful dining experiences. This was the first time I’ve ever felt cheated in this country - it sort of breaks my heart. Wooden takeout chopsticks and a paltry serving of rice and basic vegetables to accompany a mediocre steak they charged several hundred dollars for. The service staff barely spoke to us - they must know the routine, get you in and get you out. I hope they at least get a cut. I’m embarrassed I was taken for the ride - don’t let it happen to you.
